      agree totally it doesn't sound rushed! I suspect there's more magic than just tempo drop --> The cadence is roughly 105 BPM which isn't a huge pile off he faster-played recordings which are typically up on 115-120 BPM. My guess -- colemans phrasing throughout is masterful; there's no notable slurring or dilations --> every note sounds crisp and clear, this in essence makes it feel non rushed. The soft guitar baseline changes up the chord every ~4 beats, so this also probably a big help (in contrast to piano accompaniment)

    The first tune is called Tarbolton Lodge in Scotland, and it appears in O'Neill's 1001 as Cooleen Bridge. O'Neill collected it from Clare fiddler Johnny Allen.
